The story La Butte À Pétard, is a story which was based on true events in the year of 1755. The Arcadian families of the Pétard community, now Memramcook, New Brunswick, attempting to flee the British forces. Prémélia and Fidèle, two young people from the Pétard community, were separated from their parents. The two have found themselves in the woods hiding with their grandfather. Surviving everything they have been through, the Mi'kmaqs had a huge assist in their survival. Their escape, which the two thought would be short, lasted for eight days, following eight years of struggling.
While reading this book there was always something keeping me intrigued and invested. What I loved most about this book was that it kept me thinking the entire time while I was reading the book. I totally recommend this amazing book by Diane Carmel Léger from @boutondoracadie to everyone.

L'histoire de La Butte à Pétard est basée sur des faits réels survenus en 1755. Les familles acadiennes de la communauté de Pétard, aujourd'hui Memramcook, au Nouveau-Brunswick, tentent de fuir les forces britanniques. Prémélia et Fidèle, deux jeunes de la communauté Pétard, ont été séparés de leurs parents. Les deux se sont retrouvés dans les bois, cachés avec leur grand-père. Ayant survécu à tout ce qu'ils ont vécu, les Mi'kmaqs les ont énormément aidés à survivre. Leur fuite, que les deux pensaient courte, a duré huit jours, après huit années de lutte.
Pendant la lecture de ce livre, il y avait toujours quelque chose qui m'intriguait et m'investissant. Ce que j'ai le plus aimé dans ce livre, c'est qu'il m'a fait réfléchir tout au long de sa lecture. Je recommande à tout le monde ce livre étonnant de Diane Carmel Léger de @boutondoracadie.

Quel livre incroyable! 🤩Basé sur des evenements réels La Bute a Petard de Diane Carmel Leger fourni par @boutondoracadie est une histoire fictive basée en 1755 lors de la déportation dévastatrice du peuple acadien à "La Bute a Petard" maintenant connue sous le nom de Memramcook Nouveau-Brunswick et comment le peuple Mi'kmaq a joué un grand rôle dans leur survie.
Personnellement, j'ai rencontré l'auteur et j'ai visité les monuments historiques qui, sans effort, donnent plus de vie à cette histoire. Diane Carmel Leger a été prévenante et réfléchie en écrivant ce livre donnant des détails sur les conditions de la forêt jusqu'à ce qu'ils ont mangé.
Il n'y a jamais un moment d'ennui dans ce livre, j'ai vraiment rien de mal à dire. Si vous êtes à la recherche d'un livre perspicace et bourré d'action, je vous recommande vivement La Bute a Petard de Diane Carmel!

What an amazing book!🤩 Based on true events La Bute a Petard by Diane Carmel Léger provided by @boutondor_acadie is a fictional story based in 1755 during the devastating deportation of the Acadian people in "La Bute a Petard" now known as Memramcook New Brunswick and how the Mi'kmaq people played a big role in their survival.
Personally, I have met the author and have visited the historical landmarks which, so effortlessly gives this story more life. Diane Carmel Leger was considerate and thoughtful while writing this book giving detail about the conditions of the forest right down to what they ate.
There was never a dull moment in this book, I truely have nothing bad to say. If youre looking for an insightful, action packed book then I highly reccommend La Bute a Petard by Diane Carmel!
