Kira's Quest

Kira's Quest

Kira’s adventures continue with she tries to find her true home.

Kira has discovered that she’s not human, but merrow-a mermaid-and that her biological parents are prisoners on an island run by the hateful finfolk. At thirteen years old, she’s not old enough to leave her sleepy seaside town to go on a solo underwater rescue mission…but when a group of selkies offer to lead her to the mysterious island Hildaland, she can’t refuse. No sooner does she find the island than she is taken prisoner herself. The only way she can save herself and her biological parents is to rely on her quick mind, her dolphin friend, Cass, and good luck. But will those be enough to save the prisoners of Hildaland?

Kira’s Quest

In the second book, Kira’s Quest, the story begins with her trying to hatch a plan with Cody to save her birth parents from the secret land of the Finfolk called Hildadland which she nearly escaped from at the end of the first novel.
After talking to Babbling Bill, Kira finds a way to meet some selkies and with the help of Cody, Mrs. Doyle, and the selkies Kira gets into Hildaland and meets her real parents, King Currin and Queen Castila. She also found Mrs Doyle’s husband Harvey.
Kira realizes that not only are there humans held captive but many merrows as well. Kira needs to find a new plan to break everyone out.
When Kira gets back to land Cody, her parents and villagers from all over the shoreline come together to form a rescue mission with Cass and his pod of dolphins.
I really enjoyed this book and how the author made both words fight for their people’s freedom and how every human was accepting the fact that some of their friends and family were not human. It was another great read and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I recommend this book.

Kiras Quest

Kira has recently learned that her biological parents are prisoners on Hildaland, an enigmatic island shrouded in fog ruled by the hateful finfolk, and that she is not human but instead a mermaid. Kira isn't old enough to leave her fisherman based town on her own to perform an underwater rescue act because she is only thirteen. But determined and resourceful, Kira looks for old Babbling Bill to find out more about the rumored selkies. Can Kira avoid being captured by the finfolk if she can even make it thus far? Once again, Kira must overcome threats using her quick wit, thinking and sporadic assistance from her aquatic companions. Will those, however, be sufficient to free the Hildaland prisoner?
Another incredibly fantastic book published from AcornPress has just been released. This book's journey, which Kira once again has to go through in order to comprehend what's occurring and figure out how to save her parents, was what I truly liked about it. I also like learning about mythical creatures such as mermaids, fairies, selkies, and other species.

I recommend this book.
