Before we go any further, we want to acknowledge that we, and YOU, are in Mi'kma'ki; the traditional territory of the Mi'kmaw people. Mi'kma'ki spans the area that is also called Atlantic Canada, plus parts of Maine and the Gaspé peninsula, and is divided into seven geographical territories and traditional districts.

Watch the video below to hear more about Mi'kma'ki from a local Mi'kmaw youth.

Congrats! You have your book result!
Now...
Would you rather read your book or do you prefer to listen to the story with the audiobook version? And if you’d rather read it, would you prefer a paperback or a book you can read on a screen?

Just make sure to let your teacher know so they can get the book type that’s the perfect fit for you!
WAIT, DID YOU SAY YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE ME CREATED THIS?
Yup, they sure did!  A whole bunch of youth from across Atlantic Canada, just a little older than you, created this stuff! They did this through an organization called Digitally Lit: Atlantic Canadian Youth Read. Digitally Lit is a youth engagement strategy focused on working to empower Atlantic Canadian youth through reading and digital spaces. They are partnered with five publishers representing each province.

13 - Oliver.png
My name is Oliver Hallett and I live in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.

While I was born in Ontario I’ve spent most of my life in Newfoundland, and I’m quite happy that I grew up here. I’ve been an avid reader from a young age, which led to me getting involved with multiple creative fields—most notably writing and acting.

Many of my friendships got off the ground due to us enjoying the same books, and analysis of the stories we engage with is a regular topic of conversation.

Over the past few years, I’ve been engaging more and more with the local arts scene and I’m excited to expand that to include what I’m reading during my time as a Digitally Lit Youth Ambassador.
OKAY COOL, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT MADE THIS QUIZ?
ARE THEY REALLY YOUNG PEOPLE FROM ATLANTIC CANADA?

They sure are!

Oliver's Quiz Story

Check out this video to hear how Oliver came up with the idea for the quiz.
14 - Ellie.png
My name is Ellie Wilson and I live in Moncton, New Brunswick.

I’m from a small community on the outskirts of Moncton, where I am surrounded by nature. I’ve grown up a fervent reader, which led to my love of language (I’m also a French Immersion student!) writing, acting, and public speaking. I enjoy playing different musical instruments and painting.

Being a Digitally Lit Youth Ambassador allows me to share my love of reading, and inspire other youth through social media to check out great Atlantic Canadian books!
